The Korea Post serves its readers with four media units
The Korea Post, established in 1985, has now grown into four different media units, namely: (1) Korean Daily Media Headlines, (2) English Internet edition of The Korea Post (www.koreapost.com), (3) Korean-language Internet edition (www.koreapost.co.kr) and the main English print edition.
We update the English and Korean Internet editions real-time and show the video clips of the social functions, especially the National Day receptions hosted by the ambassadors and madams and the diplomats’ tours of the local governments and industries.At each National Day reception, The Korea Post assigns one photographer and one video cameraman to cover the event, and puts their coverage on the English and Korean Internet editions real-time.In the case of the tours of the countryside and industrial establishments, we present the still photos and video pictures to the participating ambassadors and other senior diplomats putting them in still photo and video CDs. All such CDs are given to the participants free of charge or mailed to them collect.
The National Day speeches of the ambassadors are published in the Korean-language Internet edition as well as in the English Internet edition as long as the Korean text is provided to us in time.The Korean-language Internet edition of The Korea Post is becoming increasingly popular among the Korean audience because not many regular Korean media organizations cover diplomatic functions – let alone publishing their coverage.The Korean Daily Media Headlines is also very popular among the ambassadors and other members of the Seoul Diplomatic Corps because each morning it tells what’s going on in Korea that day.
